Cognition at Chichen Itza

Here’s another dispatch from the field, this time coming to you from our buddy Josh. Here he’s sporting his custom BKB cap in front of the Tzompantli monument at Chichen Itza. The Maiden shirt is an especially nice touch. Keep those photos coming, everyone! We love it.

Broken Hearts and Bicycle Parts

Broken Hearts and Bicycle Parts

We’re pleased to be sponsoring this year’s edition (the 5th) of the Broken Hearts and Bicycle Parts alleycat race and benefit, by the Sopo Bicycle Cooperative in Atlanta. They’re a a non-profit, community-based bicycle repair shop that makes transportation affordable, accessible, and sustainable. Sounds like our cup of tea. If you’re in the Atlanta area over the 6th and 7th, go check out the race. Here’s a peek at the caps we made for the event:

Seattle Race of Shame

Seattle Race of Shame

Speaking of sponsoring races, if you’re in the Seattle area on February 15th, go check out the Emerald City Bike Bloc‘s Race of Shame alleycat. In addition to the race, there will be a showing of Council of Doom as well as some film shorts that recently played at the NYC Bike Film Short Fest. Seattle has a pretty full calendar of weekly rides and races planned, so it would certainly appear that they know how to have a good time!

Pensacola BEACHcat TWO

Pensacola BEACHcat TWO

I just sent out a little package in sponsorship of the Pensacola BEACHcat TWO, February 8-15 in Pensacola, Florida. It looks like Ryan and the gang have a full itinerary of fun planned, with GoldSprints, alleycats, polo, racing on the “Sand ‘drome”, bands including This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, and lots more beach-style entertainment. Here in Wisconsin we’ve been having a pretty cold winter so a little bit of warm-weather fun sounds great right about now. Check out their blog for more details.

The Glare Ice Project

The Glare Ice Project

Long winters can be tough on everybody, but cyclists often feel the pain more acutely that most (sometimes literally!). But when life gives you an overpass, you build a garbage fire. Last year we had some fun on a local lake, and this year’s edition is brought to you by our friends at Revolution Cycles. Ice, fire, beer, and studded tires. Sounds like the perfect way to while away a cold February day.
